This dialogue will convene key public and private stakeholders from Latin America and the Caribbean to discuss effective ways to keep energy transition efforts alive while ensuring energy security and affordability of service for a growing population. Relevant topics such as availability of financing and cost of capital, diversification of tax revenues from fossil fuels, local value creation in the new green economy, and other issues relevant to achieving decarbonization goals will be addressed. In addition, the status of regional climate action platforms and similar coordination efforts, such as RELAC (Renewable Energies in Latin America), will be presented. Marcelino Madrigal will participate in the event.

Head of Energy Division, Inter-American Development Bank as moderator of the discussion.
