An opportunity for dialogue among South American Senators and/or Deputies on climate action finance, with the aim of mobilising actors and mapping issues of common interest for strengthening parliamentary cooperation on topics relevant to sustainable development.
The event also seeks to promote discussion and peer-to-peer exchange on (i) climate legislation and policies in the region (e.g. Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Agreement) and (ii) carbon pricing (Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, central theme of COP26 to be held in November 2021).
