The course aims to enable participants to differentiate between traditional finance and sustainable finance, highlight the role that development banking has played in the past in promoting sustainable finance in Latin America, identify the current focus on sustainable finance, and identify how sustainable finance can affect various areas of the broader financial sector, use real cases to exemplify the critical path to issue thematic bonds, including the Covid-19 breakthrough in this type of bonds and identify the different types of ESG risks, mitigation tools, as well as funding opportunities that arise from sustainable finance.
Time: 18 (6 sessions of 3 hours per week)
