Practical approaches to applying the EU Taxonomy to bank lending

UNEP FI and the European Banking Federation are hosting a virtual event to launch the report “Practical approaches to applying the EU Taxonomy to bank lending”.

The report explores practical approaches for banks who wish to use the EU Taxonomy. This initiative, supported by EY, involving 24 banks, 12 banking associations and 6 observing organisations, follows a joint project in 2020 that tested the application of the EU Taxonomy to core banking products.

The findings of this report will support banks to better understand the EU Taxonomy, its requirements, application for mandatory disclosure requirements, as well as further voluntary uses. It aims to effectively support banks in their regulatory implementation journey as well as their client engagement efforts.
