Seminar – International Workshop . October 30 to November 1, 2017.

This seminar – workshop has a double objective. The first is to introduce participants to the tools and methods used to design and implement social impact assessments (SIA) of development projects. The importance of a rigorous evaluation for the design of effective programs, as well as the main methods used to carry out HIA will be discussed. Each method will be illustrated using real project examples. In addition, the seminar – workshop will address the key steps and information needs involved in the design and implementation of an SIA. Working groups will be formed to enable the practical application of the study material. The second goal is to present and discuss the opportunities for development banks to have an adequate framework of social impact assessment: from an improvement in the institutional strategy, in order to meet the national and public objectives they have, for the opening of new sources of financing.
