UNEP FI, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and FINRESP co- organize a Webinar on “Climate Change and TCFD: Risks and Opportunities for the Insurance Sector in Spain and Latin America ”on February 2nd, 2021 at 3PM CET, 9AM Washington time. The webinar will be delivered in Spanish & English, with simultaneous translation in both languages.

The event counts on the collaboration of the Public-Private Working Group on Green Finance of Chile, the Sustainable Finance Working Group of Bolivia, the Sustainable Finance Initiative of Ecuador, the British Embassy of Santiago, ACCIÓN CLIMÁTICA, and the Media Partners ComunicarSe, Diario Sustainable and País Circular.

This webinar will present the most relevant aspects of the work carried out during UNEP FI TCFD Insurers Pilot Project, which UNEP FI has collaborated with 22 leading insurers and reinsurers from across the globe, representing more than 10% of the global industry premium. The group collaborated on the development of methodologies to evaluate the financial impact that physical, transition and litigation risks may have on their underwriting portfolios.
