Biotrop, a Brazilian company dedicated to the research and production of natural and biological agricultural solutions, with a focus on regenerative agriculture, has announced its second issuance of green bonds through its subsidiary Total Biotecnologia. The proceeds will be aimed to expand the use of biologics in agriculture through new manufacturing, research, development units and for working capital needs.

This new green placement was completed for an amount in local currency equivalent to about 18 million dollars, which together with the first issuance at the end of 2021 sums up a total of approximately 36 million dollars. The bonds were issued by ICMA (International Capital Markets Association), while Itaú BBA Bank was the lead coordinator abnk.
