BNDES and Government of Rio Grande do Sul sign agreement to strengthen the State to face extreme weather conditions

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has signed a technical cooperation agreement (TCA) with the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) to structure a medium- and long-term strategic resilience plan to protect the state against extreme weather conditions and strengthen its response capabilities, with a focus on the Guaíba River hydrographic region.
In addition, the parties signed an addendum to an existing contract in order to develop the preliminary project for the State Center for Integrated Risk and Disaster Management (CEGIRD) and the State Center for Humanitarian Logistics, and other social housing measures.
