Brazilian sanitation firm Aegea issues blue bond

Aegea, a private water and sanitation company operating in nearly 900 municipalities in 15 states in Brazil and serving over 39 million people, announced the issuance of a 10-year term blue bond in the international capital markets for a total amount of 750 million dollars, representing the largest worldwide corporate blue bond placement.
The operation was over-subscribed by about 5x the original base offer (of 500 million dollars), attracting 2.4 billion dollars. The resources obtained from the blue bond issuance will be allocated to eligible projects in the blue category of the Company’s Sustainable Finance Framework.
