CABEI promotes a strengthening program for the agricultural sector in Dominican Republic through BAGRICOLA

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will support the Banco Agricola (BAGRICOLA) of the Dominican Republic with 60 million dollars for the development of a program of green lines oriented to its client base, with the objective of strengthening the agricultural sector.

The objective of the funds is to achieve the goals in the “Agricultural Sector Strategic Plan of the Dominican Republic 2020/2030”, through credit facilities and technical assistance.

The investment implies modernization and strengthening of the agricultural sector; increasing the food supply of agricultural and livestock products, raising productivity and diversifying production; increasing the sector competitiveness and the profitability of producers; and the development of infrastructure and services in rural areas, with a territorial approach.
