Chile places two social bonds

The Chilean Ministry of Finance has completed the issuance of two social bonds, maturing in 2033 and 2040, denominated in local currency for an amount equivalent to 2.15 billion dollars. The operation was oversubscribed by 4.5 times the amount awarded, with the participation of 73 local and international investors.
These bonds with social characteristics, entail the simultaneous commitment to disburse an amount equivalent to that issued in social projects, as defined in the Sustainable Bond Framework published by the Ministry of Finance in November 2020.
