Europe sets technical standardization of ESG ratings as a priority for 2025

The regulator and supervisor of European markets, ESMA, has once again placed sustainability on its list of priorities for 2025. In the presentation of its main lines of activity in 2025, it highlights the technical development of regulations related to ESG ratings and green bond standards. The regulation to be formalized by the end of 2024 is expected to give ESMA the mandate to deliver several technical standards in 2025.
