French AFD grants financing for 99 million dollars to Mexican CFE for the first phase of a photovoltaic plant

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) of Mexico has received 98.7 million dollars financing from the French Development Agency (AFD) for the first phase of the Puerto Peñasco Photovoltaic Power Plant, to be located in the State of Sonora.
The first phase of the PV Plant will have 120 MW installed capacity of renewable energy generation. The complete PV Plant investment project will be developed in four phases, with a total installed capacity of 1,000 MW in generation and 190 MW in battery storage. The line of credit has a 20-year term, with a semi-annual amortization format.
