IDB Invest and The Nature Conservancy join forces to advance nature-based solutions in the Amazon region

IDB Invest and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for collaboration to promote nature-based solutions across the Amazon region.

The cooperation will combine expertise and resources to drive investments in reforestation concessions, promote regenerative agriculture, encourage private-sector engagement, and co-create innovative socio-bioeconomy models that integrate biodiversity conservation with economic opportunities for local communities.

The collaboration includes technical assistance, capacity-building initiatives, and joint fundraising efforts. It will also support key innovative financial initiatives such as the Amazonia Finance Network (AFN) and leverage synergies with other initiatives, including the Catalytic Capital for Agricultural Transition (CCAT) Fund and the Innovative Finance for the Amazon, Cerrado, and Chaco (IFACC).
