FINCA Haiti S.A., an NGO that provides financial services to businesses, received financing from IDB Invest in the amount of US$1.5 million for a 3-year term.

The objective is to promote the growth of FINCA Haiti’s microfinance lending activities, focusing primarily on women and women-led microfinance businesses and vulnerable populations, all underserved segments of the Haitian banking sector.

IDB Invest will also provide advisory services to strengthen FINCA Haiti’s capacity to serve the needs of its clients, with a special focus on its female client base, through three main lines of work: 1) a gender loss rate analysis; 2) the development of a business growth program to help female clients graduate from group loans to individual loans; and 3) a study to understand and increase the adoption of digital tools among FINCA Haiti’s clients.
