Israel, through its Ministries of Finance and Agriculture, will make a 3 million dollar donation to help create the new Climate-Smart Agribusiness Innovation initiative, which will be managed by IDB Invest and the innovation laboratory IDB Lab.

The initiative aims to help agribusinesses in Latin America and the Caribbean respond to the challenges of climate change while promoting resilient development and low-carbon business models. It will support companies in order to export their products, upskill their workforce, and adopt innovative technologies and practices. Moreover, will help identify opportunities in climate-smart agriculture and forestry, test new technologies that can help customers produce sustainably and increase climate resilience, through technical assistance.
