IDB Invest increases access to capital for MSMEs in the Dominican Republic with Banco Caribe

Banco Múltiple Caribe Internacional S.A. (Banco Caribe), a financial institution operating in the Dominican Republic since 2004, will receive 25 million dollars in long-term financing from IDB Invest to facilitate access to capital for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the Dominican Republic.
The financial support consists of: i) a 5-year term senior loan of up to 25 million dollars granted by IDB Invest; and ii) financial incentives of up to 150,000 dollars, granted by the Women Entrepreneurs Financing Initiative (We-Fi).
Additionally, IDB Invest will provide advisory services within the framework of the WE Finance Code initiative, strengthening Banco Caribe’s women’s banking strategy.
