IDB Invest issues bond in Paraguay to support SMEs through Sudameris Bank

IDB Invest has issued a new bond in order to finance access to medium and long-term loans, in local currency, for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Paraguay, through Sudameris Bank S.A.E.C.A (Sudameris). The placement was made in local currency for an amount equivalent to 15 million dollars and a 7.9% final interest rate.
The deal will support medium and long-term financing in local currency for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Paraguay. From 2016 to 2021, IDB Invest has already financed more than 160 thousand MSMEs in Paraguay.
