IDB Invest launches regional network to boost sustainable finance in Latin America and the Caribbean

During the II Latin American Congress on Sustainable and Inclusive Banking held in Buenos Aires, IDB Invest announced the launch of a regional network called “Enlaces”, aimed at initiatives that promote sustainable finance in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The “enlaces” network has the participation of public and private commercial banks and financial entities. Some of the protocols and initiatives that adhered to the network include: Sustainable Finance Protocol from Argentina; Green and Social Protocol (Asobancaria) from Colombia; Sustainability Protocol (ABM) from Mexico; among others. IDB Invest acts as founder and strategic advisor of “Enlaces”, and will additionally provide support during the constitution and consolidation stages of the network.

The network will focus its efforts on four defined strategic axes: i) analysis of environmental and social risks, ii) green and climate agenda, iii) social agenda, and iv) corporate governance.
