IDB Invest partners with Coopelga to promote women entrepreneurs in Honduras
08/26/2024 Since 7 months
IDB Invest has signed an advisory service agreement with Coopelga, Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito ELGA Limitada, for the development of a comprehensive strategy to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) led or owned by women (PYME Mujer) in Honduras.
The project consists of identifying best practices for serving the women’s market and developing a value proposition that responds to the specific needs of Honduran businesswomen. This project is aligned with IDB Invest’s commitment to increase access to financing for Honduran women entrepreneurs given that, in Latin America, many SMEs are unable to access long-term financing, and when it comes to businesses led by women or other underrepresented groups, access is even lower.
