IDB launches a 5-year global sustainable development bond

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has successfully completed the issuance of a new 4.25-billion dollars global sustainable development bond on the London Stock Exchange.
The 5-year term bond, maturing in February 2030, pays a fixed semiannual coupon of 4.5%. More than 150 investors participated in the placement, including Banks (54%), Central Banks and Official Institutions (30%), Asset Managers (15%) and Pension Funds, Insurance and Corporations (<1%).
During year 2024, the IDB had placed 5-year, 7-year and 10-year term sustainable bonds, for 4 billion dollars in January, 2 billion dollars in September and 2.5 billion dollars in July respectively.
