IDB launches global sustainable development bond

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has successfully completed the issuance of a new 2-billion dollars global sustainable development bond on the London Stock Exchange.
The 7-year term bond, maturing in September 2031, pays a fixed semiannual coupon of 3.625%. More than 50 investors participated in the placement, including Banks (38%), Central Banks and Official Institutions (37%), Asset Managers (14%) and Pension Funds, Insurance and Corporations (11%).
Previously in year 2024, the IDB had placed 5-year and 10-year term sustainable bonds, for 4 billion dollars in January and 2.5 billion dollars in July respectively.
