IDB to boost agricultural productivity in Peru

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a loan with the aim of improving productivity levels in Peruvian agricultural sector, by granting better access for producers to innovation, technology transfer and agricultural extension services.
The technological solutions will focus on the challenges of climate change and the generation of opportunities for rural women and ethnic groups. The project will benefit more than 6,000 agricultural extension service providers and about 92,000 farmers.
The 85 million dollars loan will have an 18-year repayment term and a 6-year grace period.
