IFC, CFA Institute, and AMAFORE launch program to strengthen climate risk governance and management in the Mexican pension system

The International Finance Corporation (IFC, a member of the World Bank Group), in collaboration with the CFA Institute and the Mexican Association of Retirement Fund Administrators (AMAFORE), has launched an innovative program called the “Climate Governance and Risk Program”. Which aims to strengthen the technical capacities of Retirement Fund Administrators (AFORES) to raise corporate governance standards, promote responsible investments in the capital markets, and manage risks associated with climate change.

The program will offer technical tools, practical simulations, and global frameworks to identify and monitor climate-related risks and opportunities.

This joint effort reflects the commitment of the organizations involved to promote sustainable development and ensure that investments in Mexico are aligned with global climate goals.
