Just Transition Finance Tool for banking and investing activities

The International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with the Grantham Research Institute of the London School of Economics (LSE), has published a “Just Transition Finance Tool for banking and Investment activities”, providing practical advice for financial institutions.

The Tool focuses on banking and investment activities and provides financial sector actors with entry points for the structural integration of social considerations into their approach to the climate transition, in alignment with the goals of the Paris Agreement. Investment and banking activities are categorized into Foundations, Governance, Implementation and Engagement. The Guide includes cases of emerging practices and real-life examples in each of the activities and steps of the proposed methodology.
