Mexican real estate investment trust Fibra Uno issued sustainable bond on the BMV

Mexican real estate investment trust Fibra Uno (FUNO) placed sustainable bonds for MXN8.1 billion (approximately USD400 million) on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV).

The proceeds will be used to finance or refinance eligible sustainable projects, in addition to prepaying debt, while maintaining the company’s healthy financial profile. Some of these projects include reducing energy consumption or improving resource efficiency; expenditures related to the construction, development, acquisition, maintenance and operation of clean energy projects such as solar, wind, low-impact hydro and investment in socio-economic advancement and empowerment.

The issues with ticker FUNO21X and FUNO21-2X have a term of 7 and 4 years respectively. The placements have been rated HR-AAA by HR Ratings and AAA (mex) by Fitch Mexico.
