Urbem obtains 13 million dollars in green debt

Urbem, a Brazilian civil construction company that manufactures engineered wood (wood products with enhanced structural integrity), has placed green debt for an amount in local currency equivalent to US$13 million. Urbem is considered a pure-play category company with practices aligned with ESG criteria.
The proceeds obtained will be used to implement the business plan for the new manufacturing plant in the state of Paraná, which will begin operating in the second half of 2022. Among the products to be produced and marketed are Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT), Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam) and S4S Class Timber. These engineered wood products are expected to achieve a relevant share in the local civil construction market.
