Monitoring emissions during the first days of operation of Inírida Solar Farm (GSI) are positive. According to Gestion Energetica S. A. E.S.P. (Gensa), a Colombian utility, “it was possible to cover 13% of the daily generation, decrease diesel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere”.
Monitoring was undertaken since April 11, 2020, the day it entered into operation. “The purpose is to carry out permanent monitoring to observe the contributions to the system,” said the generating company.
