Argentina issues It’s first private sector
U$S 100 million Green Bond

Banco Galicia has announced the issuance of a green bond to raise $ 100 million dollars in order to expand its loan program for environmental efficiency projects. This is the first green bond issued by a private financial institution in Argentina. The bond will be subscribed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a World Bank Group’s institution that has been at the forefront in supporting the development of green bonds in emerging markets.
