The Climate Bonds Standards Board (CBSB) has approved the Hydropower Criteria under the International Climate Bonds Standard (CBS), providing screening criteria for investments in sustainable hydropower projects. The CBI Hydropower Criteria provide guidance for developers on ensuring climate change resilience, improving environmental and social sustainability. Projects adhering to the Criteria strengthen their credibility and increase their access to responsible investment options. Hydropower certification is now formally available to issuers of green debt products in all markets.
