IFC provides loan to BBVA Perú to finance green buildings
01/26/2022 Since 3 years
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, granted a loan for 60 million dollars to BBVA Peru. The objective is to promote the development of the green building business line by financing green mortgages and providing advisory services through EDGE, IFC’s green building program.
The investment is supported by the Market Accelerator for Green Construction (MAGC) program, which is sponsored by the United Kingdom, acting through the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. MAGC helps scale green construction across emerging markets by incentivizing financial intermediaries to expand green residential construction.
