The National Treasury from Brazil has completed its second issuance of a sustainable thematic bond for an amount of 2 billion dollars in the United States market.

The 7-year term bonds maturing in 2032 achieved a 6,375% annual yield rate. The placement was oversubscribed by 2.3x the amount awarded, with nearly 220 offers from international investors.

The proceeds obtained will be allocated to finance projects in eligible expenditure categories, which promote sustainability and contribute to climate change mitigation, natural resources conservation and social development, as established in the Brazilian Sustainable Sovereign Bond Framework. The pre-issuance terms established indicative percentages for resource allocation themes with a range of 50-60% in environmental and 40-50% in social.
