Dominican Republic creates a one-stop shop to boost foreign investment in renewable energy
09/08/2021 Since 3 years
The National Energy Commission of the Dominican Republic (CNE) and Pro-Dominicana agreed to create a one-stop shop for foreign investment for renewable energy in the country. The directors of both entities agreed to work together to put the project into operation by December 2021.
The objective of the one-stop shop is for foreign investors interested in the national renewable energy market to benefit from the incentives provided by Law N° 57-07 “Incentives for the Development of Renewable Energy Sources”. This single window would make it possible to evaluate projects and obtain authorizations for at least 10 projects by 2022.
