IDB approves 80 million dollars to boost MSMEs productivity in Argentina
08/08/2022 Since 2 years

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) granted a 80 million dollars loan to increase productivity, competitiveness and market access for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Argentina. The loan has a repayment term of 25 years, a grace period of five and a half years and an interest rate based on SOFR.

The program will encourage the innovative and environmentally sustainable productive development of MSMEs and will promote their digital transformation, strengthening government assistance for these companies in all regions of the country.

Additionally, the project will strengthen the federal network of support services and will promote the decentralization of the programs and instruments of the Ministry of Industry and Productive Development. It will also incorporate technical and technological services that help MSMEs to adopt new technologies, adapt to a low-emissions economy that is resilient to the impacts of climate change, and incorporate the gender and diversity perspective. Finally, technical assistance and training will also be provided to approximately 1,300 companies to support innovation projects.
