IDB launches sustainable development bond for Japanese Taiju Life

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has issued a 15-year sustainable development bond with the objective of supporting the Bank’s mission to improve the quality of life in Latin America and the Caribbean in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
The fixed-rate bond totalized an amount of 40 million Australian dollars (equivalent to nearly 26.4 million US dollars). The Japanese insurance company Taiju Life has been the sole investor in the operation.
