Despite the large macroeconomic, fiscal and financial challenges for emerging countries – including those in our region – the 200 investors participating in the webinar clearly indicated that the ESG opportunity is still relevant and that the COVD-19 crisis could be a boost to expand the use of ESG instruments in deciding on investments. Likewise, the crisis provides an opportunity to require market regulators more transparency and information on environmental, social, and governance risks.
