AC Bebidas, the world’s third largest bottler of the Coca-Cola brand, plans to place its first green bond on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV). The issue is estimated at 4.65 billion Mexican pesos. The offering will be divided into two issuances, one with a term of 4 years and a variable interest rate. The second will mature in 10 years and offer a fixed interest rate.
The placement is scheduled for May 7 2021. The funds will be used to finance projects with environmental impact including renewable energy, water use management, efficient distribution units, prevention and control of pollutants.
