02/08/2023 Since 1 year
Brasil BioFuels (BBF), a palm-based biofuel and biomass producer in the North of Brazil, has raised an amount in local currency equivalent to nearly 26 million dollars in green debentures.
The proceeds are aimed to finance the installation of a new thermoelectric plant in the state of Roraima, which will operate on hybrid feedstocks as vegetable oil and palm biomass to generate energy, reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by about 60% and bringing energy security to the region.
By the end of year 2025, BBF plans to launch the first biorefinery of Brazil in the Manaus Free Trade Zone, for the production of Green Diesel (HVO) and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
