The International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) developed the “ClimateScanner” tool, which aims at monitoring public policies on climate change. Its methodology is organized under three axes: governance, climate financing and public policies; and at two levels: national and international. It allows the collection and disclosure of data in a standardized format for all countries, and also facilitates the assessment of monitoring mechanisms, risk management, climate change mitigation strategies and climate financing initiatives for each nation, in comparison with others around the world.

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) formalized an “Engagement Facility”, a document through which the Bank commits to support the completion stage of the project with up to 1 million dollars. In addition, specialized technicians in climate resilience financing from BNDES will participate in the project.
