The Water and Sanitation Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is once again coordinating the Focus on the Americas this year at World Water Week 2023, which will showcase the most prominent voices and actors in water and sanitation from Latin America and the Caribbean. The event will take place August 20 to 24, 2023, in Stockholm, Sweden, and online through the World Water Week website.
The Focus on the Americas sessions will feature a distinguished group of high-profile experts with extensive experience in water and sanitation. Panelists will represent government agencies, public utilities, international organizations, universities, the private sector, and donor agencies, among others.
The Focus on the Americas Program is partially sponsored by AquaFund, the IDB’s multi-donor fund for investments in water and sanitation, financed with its own resources and from partners: the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Government of Austria and the PepsiCo Foundation.
To attend the sessions you must have registered to the World Water Week. Online sessions are free for all participants. Simultaneous interpretation available in English and Spanish.
