Argentina formalizes its National Sustainable Finance Strategy
05/23/2023 Since 1 year

The Ministry of Economy of Argentina has published the Resolution 696/2023 through which it formalizes the adoption of the National Sustainable Finance Strategy (ENFS by its initials in Spanish).

The ENFS seeks to promote alternatives to mobilize -in a scalable way- the necessary resources that make it possible to encourage public and private investments that contribute to achieving economic and social objectives within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), included in the 2030 Agenda, contemplating the country’s climate change adaptation and mitigation goals.

The Strategy consists of five strategic axes: 1) Regulatory framework; 2) Common Language and Taxonomy; 3) Generation of information, transparency, reporting, indicators, and data analysis; 4) Incentives; and 5) Sustainable financial instruments.
