The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Colombia has launched the call “Ecosystems in Bioeconomy, Natural Ecosystems, Sustainable Territories – 2023” through the resolution 466/2023.

The general objective of the call is to create a portfolio of eligible proposals for R&D Programs of the “Research and Innovation Ecosystem” type aimed at developing solutions to problems in bioeconomy issues, which allow the validation of high value-added products and processes in the market, based on the efficient management of biomass and the sustainable use of biodiversity and its ecosystem services, and therefore contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic development of Colombia, from and for the country’s regions.

Thematic axes to be addressed by the proposed programs should include: bioproducts, bioremediation, biorefineries, biological data, biomimicry, and agroforestry systems.

The call is aligned with the bases of the National Development Plan (PND) 2022-2026 “Colombia, World Power for Life”, and in particular with the transformation “Productive transformation, internationalization and climate action” and the catalyst “Productive economy through reindustrialization and bioeconomy”.

The deadline for submitting proposals is June 29 ^th, 2023.
