The European Commission has published the list of members for the new mandate of the Platform on Sustainable Finance. The Commission selected 28 members and five observers from the private sector on the basis of their environmental and sustainable finance expertise. The seven permanent members among European Union (EU) agencies and bodies have been re-appointed directly. In addition, nine EU institutions and international organisations have been invited as observers.

The Platform was first established in October 2020, for a two-year mandate that ended in October 2022. The new composition of the Platform was announced on February 8^th 2023 and the first meeting on this second mandate will be held on March 7^th 2023.

The Platform will advise the Commission on the EU Taxonomy and the EU Sustainable Finance Framework more broadly, with a reinforced focus on the implementation and usability of the EU Taxonomy. It will also monitor the capital flows to sustainable investments.
