Government of Brazil approves GEF Blue project for the conservation of coastal and marine zones

The Brazilian Ministry of Environment (MMA) has approved the GEF Blue project which aims to reinforce and expand current efforts to protect and manage Brazilian coastal and marine ecosystems, promoting an enabling environment for a sustainable and equitable Blue Economy based on this natural capital.
The initiative will be financed with 14.4 million dollars contributed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and will be supported in its implementation by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
