Naturasol S.A. de C.V. (Naturasol) and Mielmex S.A. de C.V. (Mielmex), Mexican companies engaged in the development, processing, and marketing of a wide variety of food products, mainly honeys, peanuts, seeds, nuts, and other processed foods, received financing in local currency equivalent to US$15 million from IDB Invest.

The purpose of the transaction is to build a distribution center (CEDIS) with greater storage capacity. It also seeks to increase Naturasol’s productivity, increase its workforce, and support greater market linkages, including increased purchases from the local supply chain and increased exports.

The transaction consists of an 8-year term loan comprising a US$6 million tranche and another tranche in local currency equivalent to US$9 million. IDB Invest will provide advisory services to Naturasol and Mielmex to implement an action plan for risk assessment and management by updating their environmental and social management plan and incorporating the impacts of the CEDIS.
