The “PYMES Climate Hub” platform, which offers free information, training and resources for companies committed to implement decarbonization processes, will launch a pilot program in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). To achieve this, it will be supported by IDB Invest, through an alliance with the “We Mean Business Coalition” and “Peru Sostenible”, a representative of the local business sector. The platform will receive financial and technical support with the aim of promoting the transition processes towards a fair and emission-neutral economy among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Given that SMEs represent more than 99.5% of companies in LAC region and are a fundamental engine for sustainable growth, measuring the carbon footprint and implementing actions to reduce it, are crucial for an appropriate emission management in value chains. The program already has the support of leading companies in different sectors in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica and Peru.
