Viajero Hostels, a hostel platform based in Colombia, sponsored by Grupo Pegasus and with presence in seven Latin American countries, will receive a5-million dollars loan from IDB Invest. The seven-year term financing scheme will allow Viajero to expand its regional portfolio in Colombia, Peru and Mexico, and improve its commitment to sustainability standards and practices.

The financing from IDB Invest will consolidate Viajero’s visibility within the hostel segment, and will also help the company to increase its market share and regional positioning, with a proactive approach to embrace the environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda. In addittion, IDB Invest will provide advisory services to Viajero in order to develop a comprehensive decarbonization and sustainable development plan.
