JP Morgan announced the launch of a new digital platform, ESG Discovery, aimed at providing investors with a source of ESG insights from the company’s industry and ESG analysts.

The platform also incorporates a “dual materiality” framework, which enables investors and analysts to analyze current ESG-related financial risks and opportunities, as well as report prospective materiality by providing information on negative and positive impacts of companies. ESG Discovery’s framework is powered by ESG data and software analytics provider Datamaran.

The platform consists of two main components:
• “Sector and Cross-cutting tabs”, which enable dual materiality mapping to assess the significance of current and future ESG issues at the sector level, and;
• “Company and Thematic Selection tabs,” which enable company-level analysis with centralized revenue estimates, company-specific materiality scores, and critical insights into how companies are performing on their most important ESG topics.
