The Argentine-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (Cambras) has held the third edition of its “Cambras Sustainable Finance Awards” in recognition to organizations that financed projects related to social and environment themes, which promote sustainable development. The winners in the four selected categories were the following:

• Public Sector: Municipality of Godoy Cruz (Mendoza) for its initiative “Green, Social and Sustainable Bonds”, a financing tool that connects projects with social and/or environmental impact.

• Financial Entities: Argentine Development Bank (BICE) for its project “Promotion of risk mitigation instruments and financing of investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy.”

• Sustainable Financing Mobilizing Organizations: Madeco Argentina, for being the first SME in the country to issue a Guaranteed Green Negotiable Obligation.

• Featured Initiatives in Latam: Verde, for its project “Financing and investment in environmental projects”, a program designed to support SMEs and entrepreneurs in their transition towards a more sustainable and efficient energy matrix.
