Latin American Ministers of Economy and Finance ratify their commitment to climate action and biodiversity
On September 25 and 26, the second High-Level Dialogue of the Regional Climate Change Platform of the Ministries of Finance, Economy and Finance of Latin America and the Caribbean was held in Santiago, Chile.

At this dialogue, the highest representatives of economic and fiscal policy issued for the first time a joint declaration to align their fiscal strategies to promote the transition to low-carbon and climate-resilient economies.
CBI Green Bond Pricing in the Primary Market report
Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) released the new edition for H1 2023 of its “Green Bond Pricing in the Primary Market” report that analyses the pricing dynamics of green, social, and sustainability, sustainability-linked and transition bonds (denominated GSS+), examining how these instruments offer pricing advantages for issuers and investors, compared to vanilla equivalents.
European and Amazon Countries, with International Organizations, Strengthen Cooperation to Protect the Region.
During the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Union (ECOFIN), with the participation of ministers and representatives of the Amazon countries, European partners and international organizations, IDB presented its “Amazonia Forever” program, which focuses on fighting deforestation, the bioeconomy, people, cities, infrastructure and connectivity, and sustainable low-carbon agriculture and livestock.
 
In this context, IDB’s President announced the creation of a digital platform of partners for the Amazon that will promote transparency, knowledge sharing and coordination of financing efforts by public, private and international donors.
Joint Declaration for the enhancement of accountability and transparency in the green and sustainable bond market.
The initiative is led by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), together with Multilateral and Bilateral Development Institutions. Through their cooperation, they aim to increase transparency, improve data quality and the application of best practice standards in the green and sustainable bond market, and work collaboratively on the globalization of the Green Bond Transparency Platform (GBTP)
